Credit Card Debt Information: Manage Your Debt
Are you afraid that you will soon be called by collections
agencies due to your credit card debts that need to be paid? If
these are old debts, you can rely on important
credit card debt
info
which states that you may have an option that will help
you deal with this squarely in the eye.

You can be financially protected.
This credit card debt info is something that may be
advantageous for you. As such, with the presence of the Fair
Debt Collections Practices Act, you and many others are kept
safe from such verbal or written harassments from those
collectors of debts that have nothing better left to do but
hound you day and night, and harp on your (perceived)
weaknesses.

You are probably aware of what these threats and abuse may
lead to. They may even choose to go so far as to take the case
to court, just to give you more worries, and force you to pay
even just a meager amount.

But, these threats are considered to be violating the Fair Debt
Collections Practices Act.

Be informed. Don’t be an Easy Prey.
In certain states, there is a statute which is known as the
statute of limitations. To find this information you may have to
search online for the old debts statute of limitations chart.

These records will show all  your
credit card debt info,
including what is beyond the statute. Any debts beyond that
date are no longer available to be  collected by a third party.
You cannot be contacted, abused or harassed for old debts.
This is most effective when you have reached that particular
length of time when you are no longer considered to be a
candidate for collections.

Do your own checking.
Who knows? They have probably made a mistake, but are still
trying to make you pay so that they can earn something in
return for their efforts at harassing you. If you feel this is so,
check on your financial credit history.

Be sure to keep informed about your financial standing. Check
your credit history at least once

See if old debts are still recorded that may hold the reasons for
their actions.

Basically, what you should see on the report is the information
regarding current financial standing. Old debts are
automatically not included especially if they are more than 10
years old or exceed the statute of limitations.

Seek help.
When credit card companies still continue to harass you, cut
all forms of communication with them. If that still does not
help, it’s time you call the necessary authorities. Go to your
local state attorney’s office, and explain the situation.
